Unlike most languages, Chinese characters often regarded just as mysterious oriental symbols and have not been able to be understood more deeply. In “Complicated Mandarin - Komplex der Mandarinschrift” research project, the two Taiwanese artists Po-fu Wu and Yuyen Lin-Woywod aim invite participants to experience the space and body of traditional Chinese characters from calligraphy. And also attempt to involve the participants in to the creation and discussion, so that participants can explore the world of traditional Chinese characters from diverse perspectives.
